Today, we celebrate our rifle company’s birthday with a new website facelift. This site serves as the go-to resource for Suicide’s history and events for current, former, and future warriors. The original administrator decided it was time to leave the website in someone else’s hands, and I am proud to fill that role as best I can. I have always wanted to give back in some way to my veteran community and I am honored to help the digital presence of our glorious gun club. The site is still a work in progress and you’ll likely see more improvements in time.
Places to check out
Guidon Page – A dedicated page for the history of how we became the deadliest rifle company in the Marine Corps, and stand proudly with our custom guidon.
Campaign Timeline – I thought it would be a cool idea to create a chronological timeline of all Suicide’s deployments and missions in one place. It may be missing some information at the moment but will add any contribution from the community for gaps in the information.
Fallen Heroes – Archive of all of the KIA citations from combat deployments, these were migrated from the old site but any that are not present can be added in the future to remember our best warriors who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Memorials – Archive of Marines from Suicide Charley we have lost from accidental tragedies, natural causes, and losing the war at home. This is also a living archive with more entries that will be added in time to respect and honor their life and service to Suicide and our great Country. If you have your own you would like to write please get in touch.
Medal of Honor Recipients – Archive of the service members from Suicide who were awarded the highest military honor for actions in combat
Gallery – I migrated the old gallery from the old design as this will be the most time-intensive portion of the new site. Some galleries have issues and I will be working on a new and refreshed gallery over time.
Blog – migrated all of the old posts and this will be the central location for information on the Company and community events that will be held.
Store – This is the suicidecharley.net website, run by another former Charley Marine who has put in a lot of work to keep pushing merchandise to our members. I added a direct link from this site for users looking to purchase items from that shop.

Comments
I plan to have a way for users to sign up for an account for this site so they can add comments to places like the Memorials and Fallen Heroes section for any member of Suicide to share some words for their fallen brother
Contributions
I work on this in my spare time, unfortunately, I will not be able to cover all contributions for places like Memorials as I only had limited time with the company. I already have had another member contribute to a written memorial and I would like to have a more streamlined process for members who wish to contribute.
Thank you
It truly is an honor to provide something back to Suicide Charley as I was surrounded by the best of the best during my time with the company. I hope to continue improving and building a great online space for all our members. Happy birthday and cheers to many more!
